Ai Miyamoto Kelley specializes in creating and sustaining authentic relationships between nonprofit arts organizations and the communities they serve. She spent 12 years at the Riverside Art Museum, overseeing communications & marketing strategy, planning, and implementation, as well as working toward the creation and grand opening of The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture. She previously worked as an editor and also chaired the Marketing Committee for the Inlandia Institute and is still on their advisory committee.
She received her degree in English Literature with a minor in Race and Ethnic Studies from the University of Redlands. A Phi Beta Kappa member, she believes that “love of learning is the guide of life.”
An immigrant Japanese American who grew up on the traditional lands of the Cahuilla peoples (the Inland Empire region of Southern California), she currently lives on the traditional lands of the Cherokee, Muscogee, and Yuchi peoples (Chattanooga, Tennessee).
