Alexis Green is a theatre maker currently based in Chicago. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Alexis earned a BA in Theatre Arts from Arizona State University with a minor in Communication and later an MFA in Acting from Brown University / Trinity Rep.
After graduating, Alexis has travelled around the country acting and directing for various theatres including: Williams Theatre Project in Seattle, Washington; Portland Stage Company in Portland, Maine; a return to her alma mater as a guest director at Arizona State University; and University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill as a part of the Chason Directing Fellowship.
While at Brown University (and realistically, long before then), Alexis developed a focus on arts advocacy and using theatre as a vehicle for radical questioning and social transformation. She started the Brown / Trinity Student Resource Board as a space for students to gather regularly to discuss equity and inclusion issues and have agency in initiating institutional shifts, and she currently serves as the EDIA Board Chair for Notch Theatre Company.
