Savannah Ritz Villarreal is a playwright, actor, and arts administrator born and raised in Austin, TX. She moved to NYC in 2020 after completing her degrees in Theatre and Business at Southwestern University. She also studied acting and musical theatre at the National Theatre Institute (2018/2019), where she became a Lin-Manuel Miranda Family Fellow. As an arts administrator, she began as the Communications Intern for The Actors Centre in London, UK, in 2018, and the Artistic Operations Intern for the Glimmerglass Opera Festival in 2019. Most recently, she has served as the Administrative Coordinator for Anti-Racist Theatre and Assistant Company Manager for St. Ann’s Warehouse. In 2021, she made her Off-Broadway debut in The Patient Gloria at St. Ann’s Warehouse. Her original play, The Village, was produced as a staged reading in the summer of 2021. She dedicates her time to uplifting underrepresented voices and telling stories that deserve to be told.
